Trusting God. Why is it so hard? and how do we do it when it is?
We know we’re supposed to trust God – always. Even when life is hard, trust God. Of course. God has His purposes. It’ll all work out. It’s all for the good in the end. These are precious biblical truths, even if sometimes clichéd.
Sometimes, though, honestly, the circumstances believers are confronted with seem genuinely unfair, undeserved, gratuitously harsh, senselessly painful. How are we supposed to maintain our faith and trust in God when our obedience – not our disobedience, but our obedience – is seemingly rewarded with pain and suffering, trial and hardship? We’re supposed to trust God, sure. But how?
Those are the hard questions we take on in this series in Exodus 5 and 6.

Local Ministry
Crossroads
Pray for the ministry of Crossroads Pregnancy Center and the hope, support, and care they provide to families in our community. Pray for their staff, volunteers, and all those they serve to have wisdom, strength, and compassion as they share Christ’s love and stand for life. Pray this ministry continues to be a light that points people to Christ.
Missionary
Rhonda Formanek
Pray for Rhonda and her family with the loss of her father. Pray that they know God’s comfort, peace, and strength as they grieve the passing of her father. Pray for continued deepening of the relationships Rhonda is building, that they would be bound together in love and drawn closer to Christ.
Prayer for Transformation
O Lord, who hast mercy upon all, take away from me my sins, and mercifully kindle in me the fire of thy Holy Spirit. Take away from me the heart of stone, and give me a heart of flesh, a heart to love and adore thee, for Christ’s sake. Amen!
