What We Are Teaching

Summer 2026 Curriculum

The Gospel Project

Unit 18 Lesson 1:

God Can Always Be Trusted

Big Picture Question:

How should we feel when we sin? When we sin, we should feel sorry that we have disobeyed God and want to turn from our sin because we love Him.

Christ Connection:

God was in control over Haman's evil plan to destroy the Jews. Like Haman, Satan wants to ruin God's plan and destroy believers. Satan thought he had won when Jesus died on the cross, but God raised Jesus from the dead and defeated Satan once and for all. All who believe in Jesus are rescued from sin and death.

Summer Curriculum Update

As we prepare to launch Awana for the upcoming ministry year, we will be using

The Gospel Project as our summer curriculum.

Schedule Overview

Large Group Time (Service Hour)

Teachers assigned to Large Group will lead the Welcome and Learn sections of The Gospel Project lesson.
These portions will take place during the worship service hour.

Sunday School Hour

Sunday School will consist of the Love and Live section of the lesson, which serves as the Small Group time.
This is where children will have opportunities for discussion, application, and activities related to the lesson.

Small Group Leaders

Your portion can be found in the lesson guide packet for each week.

Click the curriculum link above. It takes you to a Google Drive Folder.
Locate the appropriate date and lesson packet.
The Love and Live section is found on pages 9–10 of the lesson packet.
